Dorothy Marie Ratchman

Dorothy M. Ratchman, age 91 of Oshkosh died peacefully at Omro Care Center on April 23, 2015. She was born in Oshkosh on May 8, 1923 the daughter of the late Frank and Pearl Kuklinski. Dorothy married Victor Ratchman on May 11, 1946. Dorothy worked for Oshkosh Trunk & Luggage, where she met her husband, Victor, and then she worked at Pluswood until the time of her retirement in 1985. Dorothy enjoyed camping, bowling, long walks, the Green Bay Packers, and anything sweet to go with her coffee. She treasured her time with family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include 5 children: Victor, Vernon, Michael (Ava), Pearl and Jerry (Jan); three sisters-in-law: Sally Zelhofer , Beatrice Paulick (Tampa Bay, FL) and Dorothy Kuklinski; grandchildren: Tina, Heidi, Shelli, Mindy, Maggie, Marcy, Brian, Joey, David, Shannon, Adam and Logan; 14 great-grandchildren with one on the way; and one great-great-granddaughter.Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Victor; her parents, Frank and Pearl Kuklinski; siblings, Tressie (Ed) Kriha, Gert (Ed) Beck, Martha (Bill) Biebl, Sister Leontine and Francis Kuklinski; daughters-in-law, Micki Ratchman , Kay Ratchman and son-in-law, Dave Poeschl.Dorothy was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be sadly missed.A celebration of Dorothys life was held on May 3, 2015 with loved ones in New Braunfels, TX. A celebration of life will be held in Oshkosh on Friday, May 8, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Jude Parish/Sacred Heart Church. Family and friends may call at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service.Special thanks to Omro Care Center and Generations Home Care & Hospice for their dedication and care of our mother. A memorial has been established in Dorothys name.
