Dorothy Wolk

Dorothy Anne Jessie Wolk, age 93, passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Lake Pointe Villa in Oshkosh. She was born to the late Chester and Linda (Luedtke) Weed on April 15, 1925 in Oshkosh. After graduating from Oshkosh High School, Dorothy went on to earn her bachelor’s degree at Oshkosh State Teachers College and, later, became an elementary school teacher in South Milwaukee. She married Donald E. Wolk on Oct. 23, 1948 at Peace Lutheran Church in Oshkosh where she would become a very active, lifelong member. Dorothy filled her life with grandchildren, church activities, reading, baking, and all sorts of puzzles.

Dorothy is survived by her two sons, Dr. Jeffrey (Mary) and Dr. Douglas (Julie); grandchildren, Molly, Robert (Heather), Kathryn, Elizabeth, Anne; sister-in-law, Doris Weed; and nephew, Del (Dorene) Weed.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; a brother Richard; and an infant sister, Lois Nancy.

A funeral service for Dorothy will be held at Peace Lutheran Church on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 2:00pm. Rev. Brad Dokken will be officiating. A visitation will be held from 12:30pm until the time of service. Burial will take place at Peace Lutheran Cemetery following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Peace Lutheran Church or The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
