Edith A. Piel, 91, of Oshkosh died Sunday, December 6, 2015, at Evergreen Retirement Community. She was born August 11, 1924, in Oshkosh a daughter of the late Eles and Hattie Derber. Edith married L. Delmer Piel on Sept. 17, 1946, in Oshkosh. They were both members at Martin Luther Church.Edith loved playing card games with her friends and family. She enjoyed music and singing in the choir as well as square and round dancing, playing golf and traveling the world with her husband.Edith is survived by a son, James (Terry) Piel of Goffstown, NH; two daughters, Nancy (Doug) Charles of Kewaunee and Linda (Tom) Kiser of Campbellsport; a sister-in-law, El Dona Schuster of Oshkosh; six grandchildren, Jason (Leslie) Piel, John (Amber) Piel, Heather and Natalie Fischer, Amanda Kiser, and Amy (Tony) Sanders; and seven great-grandchildren, Sameena and Aleea Piel, Lillian and Josephine Piel, Aden, Amber, and Alex Sanders, and nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her loving husband Del; her siblings, and her great-granddaughter Ava Sanders.Funeral services for Edith will be held at 11:00 a.m.on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2015 at Evergreen Retirement Community, (1130 N Westfield St Oshkosh WI 54902), with Rev. Jeff Berg officiating. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. followed by the service. A meal will take place after the service followed by the burial at Lake View Memorial Park.
