Edward Robert Mars

Edward R. Mars, 60, was called to his heavenly home on April 27, 2008, after his battle with cancer. He was born March 7, 1948 in Chicago, IL a son of Edward and Ann (Csicvara) Marszewski. On September 25, 1976 he was united in marriage to Susan Schneider at First Ev. Lutheran Church in Racine.He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Oshkosh.He is survived by his wife Susan Mars of Oshkosh, his son Joshua Mars (Fiance Anne Keeler)of Arlington, WI, his daughters Jennifer(Nathan) Sigourney of Wisconsin Rapids and Rebecca Mars (Special Friend Zachary Loehr) of Oshkosh, grandson Benjamin Sigourney, brothers Kenneth Mars of Chicago and John Mars of Chicago, sisters Carol(John) Wierus of Homer Glen, IL and Maryann Mars of Evergreen Park, IL, mother-in-law Marjorie Schneider of Racine, brother-in-law Mark(Colleen) Schneider of Union Grove, sister-in-law Kathryn Schneider of Racine, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law Oscar Schneider.Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday April 30, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church (1206 Ontario St, Oshkosh) with Rev. Paul Lidtke officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.A memorial has been established to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Grace Lutheran Church and Aurora VNA Hospice Program.The family would like to thank the staff of the Sterling House, Fond du Lac, especially Nicole and Danielle, and also Tina Pederson, RN of Aurora VNA Hospice.
