Elaine L. Martin

Elaine Martin, 91, passed away Friday, May 17, 2019 at her residence. She was born May 15, 1928, in Oshkosh, the daughter of Raymond and Gertrude (Gehring) Patzlaff. Elaine was employed by SNC Manufacturing for 40 years, where she met the love of her life, Jim Martin. They married November 21, 1950 in Dubuque, IA. The couple enjoyed many winters in Fort Myers, FL, where they spent much time walking along the beach and sitting at the pool. They also enjoyed spending weekends at their trailer in Redgranite, sitting by the fire pit, playing cards and also having a few cocktails. Elaine would also enjoy watching the Brewers and an occasional Packer game. More than anything, Elaine loved spending time with her family, who were blessed to feel her love and enjoy her wonderful cooking. Elaine was a member of Grace Ev. Lutheran Church, Oshkosh.

Elaine is survived by her son, James (Julie) Martin; grandson, Chad (Teresa) Martin; great grandchildren: Kaylee and Harper Martin; a sister, Barbara Meuler; an aunt, Caroline Koehn.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jim in July 2016; her parents; a brother, Everett (Elaine) Patzlaff; a brother-in-law, Eugene Meuler.

Memorial services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church, 913 Nebraska Street, Oshkosh, with Rev. Chadwick Graham officiating. Inurnment will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Oshkosh. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service.

The family would like to extend sincere thanks to the staff of Aurora Hospice and dialysis for all the care given to Elaine, as well as friends Roxi and Dave, and her sister Barbara.
