Elaine May Craig

Elaine May Craig, age 87, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Bethel Home in Oshkosh. She was born on August 20, 1927 in Berlin, WI to Charles and Charlotte (George) Helmuth. She was married to Ivan Craig Sr. on July 31, 1948 at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Berlin.Elaine graduated from Berlin High School and worked as a waitress at the Omro Hotel. She enjoyed bowling, doing crafts, sewing, and was a member of the Elks Ladies and the Jim Beam Bottle Collectors.Elaine is survived by her two sons, Ivan of Oshkosh and Gary (Debbie) Craig of Pickett; grandchildren, Nikki (Scott) Schwebke of Oshkosh, Brett (Stephanie) Craig of Menasha, Chris (Kim) Carrick of Hartford, Julie Trams of Neenah and Amy Carrick Gonia of Oshkosh; great-grandchildren, Tyler Craig and Elizabeth Trams.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and grandchildren Josh and Joyce Carrick.A memorial service will be held for Elaine at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Bethel Home Chapel (255 N. Eagle St.) Visitation will be at the chapel from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.
