Elizabeth Pamer

June 14, 1921 — July 3, 2015

Elizabeth Oma Pamer passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Friday, July 3, 2015. She was 94 years old, born in Gyorkony, Hungary; on June 14, 1921. Oma was proud to be the oldest of five children, of which she was the last survivor. In March 1940, she married Michael Pamer while they lived in Hungary. He preceded her in death in 1993.She overcame many hardships prior to immigrating from Germany to the US in 1955. Along with her husband and their children she moved to Oshkosh, WI where they established themselves and raised their family. When they immigrated they were sponsored by Grace Ev. Lutheran Church in Oshkosh, where she was still a member.Oma will be remembered for her wonderful Hurgarian cooking; especially those stacks of palasdcinta, and pans of strudel. She loved to garden and happily shared all she knew. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were an important part of her life. Oma and Opa also enjoyed part of their retirement while living many years in Palm Springs, CA.Elizabeth is survived by her sons Michael Pamer, Oshkosh, John Pamer, Appleton, daughter-in-law, Mary Pamer, Oshkosh, and sister-in-law, Lieselotte Wendthart. She is further survived by six grandchildren: Linda(Troy) Kavajecz, Sandy Pamer, Matt Pamer, Dan (Kris) Pamer, Brian (Erika) Pamer, and Mike(Jane) Pamer, as well as 17 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.Elizabeth is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Pamer, son, Paul Pamer, daughter-in-law, Sophia Pamer, three brothers and one sister.Funeral services for Elizabeth will be at 12:00 pm noon, on Tuesday July 7th at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Drive. Friends and family may visit the funeral home at 10:00 am until the time of the service. Interment will take place privately at Lake View Memorial Park.The family would like to give a special thank you to Affinity Home Health and Hospice Services for all of the great care and support they provided.
