Elmond William Kromm

March 29, 1921 — December 30, 2006

Elmond W. Kromm, 85 of Oshkosh, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2006 at Omro Care Center after a short illness. He was born to Adam and Elizabeth Kleveno Kromm on March 29, 1921 at Fisk, WI. He married Betty Nelson on July 3, 1943 at Christ Lutheran Church and has been a member since then. Elmond attended grade school in Fisk and High School in Oshkosh. He was a farmer and also had worked for Griese and Ross Construction. Elmond was an avid bowler for 65 years. He enjoyed traveling.Survivors include his wife, Betty, Oshkosh; three children, son James (Sue) Kromm, Appleton; Dennis (Darla) Kromm, Burlington, WI.; and daughter, Diane (fianc? Rick Vosburgh) Kromm, Durham, N.C.; four grandchildren, Robin (Nuri) Nimmer, Moscow, ID; Julie Kromm, Appleton; Erin Cain, Fayetteville, AR; and Matthew Kromm (special friend Tara), Burlington, WI; three great grandchildren, Noah and Isaac Nimmer, Moscow, ID; and Logan Cain, Fayetteville, AR; nieces, nephews, and a sister-in-law, Germaine Nelson, Oshkosh. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Adam and Sam Kromm; four sisters, Mary and Eleanor Kromm; Katherine Oellerich; and Pauline Oellerich; two brothers-in-law, John Oellerich; Claude Oellerich; and a sister-in-law, Lucille Kromm.Funeral services will be held at Christ Lutheran Church (222 Church Ave.) on Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Eric Quinney-Burnard officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 AM to the time of service. Interment will be at Liberty Prairie Cemetery, Pickett, WI. A memorial has been established.
