Emogene I. Jost, 82, of Oshkosh, was received by her Lord on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Bridgewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Neenah, WI . She was born on September 14, 1932 in Waupaca the daughter of Henry and Emma Goerlitz Weigandt. Emogene worked with her parents in the family business, Weigandts Grocery Store. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and was a shy, soft spoken, person who lived life on her own terms and was sweet, thoughtful and generous. Emogene enjoyed sewing, reading, flower gardening, and bird watching.Survivors include her children, Mathias James (Marcella) Jost of Broken Arrow, OK, Laurie Jean Jost of Andalusia, AL; grandchildren, Lisa (Steve) Smith of Broken Arrow, OK, Samantha Jean Jost of Andalusia, AL; great grandchildren, Emma, Alyssa, and Selena. Also surviving are sisters, Carol (John) Sprague of Orange, CA, Suzanne (Leslie) Derr of Oshkosh, WI and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. You were well loved and will be missed Welcome home Emmy.The funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church (400 Sawyer St. Oshkosh) with the Rev. Jeffrey Knoll officiating. Family and friends may visit at the church from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park.Emogenes family would like to thank the staff at Bridgewood for the care that she received from them.
