Eric was a life long learner and was always looking to gain knowledge of a skill. In June of 1970 he did a solo flight and he received his flight certificate. His academic knowledge led him to volunteer one day a week tutoring college algebra and trigonometry to undergrad students at UW-Oshkosh. He found great solace in art and writing and was a member of the Oshkosh Fine Arts Association as well as the Oshkosh Area Writers Club. His pursuit and enjoyment of the little things in life whether it be nature or life led him to many travels and discoveries with Erlinda after retirement.
