Ervin J. Hable, 87, of Oshkosh , died Friday September 18, 2009 at his residence. He was born December 22, 1921 in Oshkosh , a son of John and Hannah Hable. On May 3, 1944 he married Dorothy Starke.He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving from 1944 until 1946. While in the navy he sang in the Navy Choir. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church where he was a song leader along with other catholic churches including St. Joseph 's in Wautoma. He was a charter member of the Apollo Male Singers and the Choraliers and he loved sharing his love of singing with a multitude of people. Ervin was very creative with his woodworking and spent many hours in his shop. Ervin spent a lot of his time at his mobile home near Little Silver Lake and for many years Ervin had worked as a machinist at Ideal Products.He is survived by his wife of 65 years Dorothy, sister-in-laws Mabel Reichard, Eve Hable, Marion Hable, brother-in-law Neil Starke, nieces and nephews David(Peggy) Reichard, Kathy(Chuck) Nigl, Mike(Debbie) Reichard, Christine and Annette Reichard, Ellen(Bruce) Mueller, Neil(Judy) Starke Jr., Laurie Starke, Alfred(Rose) Matschi, Debbie(Gary) Herman, Mary Jane Wetterau, James Matschi, Vicki(Mike) Frahm, Sandy Gehrke, Gail(Margaret) Hable, Kathy Hable, and very special friends Ron(Sue) Callan, Bill(Arlene) Gensch, David(Judi) Gensch, Fred(Mary) Engel, Jerry Marsh, Ellen Scheibe, Jane Krause, Ann Schreiber, Eileen Redemann, Sharon Schneider along many more neices, nephews and friends out of town. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, John, Norbert, Harold, Bill, Alfred sisters Eleanor, Mildred, and Dorothy.Private services will be held for Ervin.The family is very grateful to all the wonderful staff at Affnity Hospice including Crystal, Tammy M., Mary B., Paula G., Ross, Lorie H., Lorie S., Barb M, Kristine G., Dr. Weber, Dr. Gremminger and most beloved Father Bill Van DeKreeke for all their love and support.
