Florence Sibley

Florence Janet Sibley, age 95, passed away at Eden Meadows on Saturday, June 8, 2013. She was born April 5, 1918 in Arpin, WI the daughter of John and Anna Grimm. She attended a one room school and walked to the school for one mile everyday. On May 3, 1947 she was married to the love of her life, Clyde Sibley, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church by Rev. Alberts. She was a member of the church and enjoyed attending the services. She also enjoyed quilting, sewing, knitting, traveling, and most of all golfing. She was a member of the Lakeshore golfing league, the Bethel Home Auxiliary, and the Ladies Aid.Florence is survived by her loving husband, Clyde of Oshkosh; her daughter, Paula (David) Ruland of Oshkosh; her son, Gary Sibley of Chicago, IL; and the grandchildren she loved so much, Lindsey (Terry), Peyton, and Sean Ruland.She was preceded in death by her mother and father, seven brothers and sisters, and her dear son, Thomas Sibley.A funeral service will be held for Florence at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes-Westside, Rev. Ronald Meier officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. She will be entombed at Lake View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.Her family wishes to thank the Affinity Hospice team for taking such good care of her on her final days, especially Shiela, Rachel, Carrie the minister at Bethel Home, the great people at Eden Meadows, Cindy who guided Florences family through her final moments, and not to forget Barbara, the bath lady.
