Gary F. Sam Anderson, age 64, of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully at Pleasant Acres Nursing Home on May 28, 2007, surrounded by his loving family. He will be deeply missed. He was born in Waupaca, WI on June 6, 1942 the son of Floyd Jack and Rhoda Stedman Anderson. On February 14, 1984 he married Louise Klasen in Las Vegas.Sam was a warm and gentle person loved by all. He loved life and never met a person that he did not like. He retired in 2004 after many years as a mechanic and delivery person. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam veteran. He enjoyed the outdoors, deer hunting, and spending time with friends and family at the cabin.He is survived by his loving wife Louise Anderson of Oshkosh, a daughter, Kelly Cook and a son, Keith Anderson both of Waupaca, WI, a stepson, Steve Klasen of Colorado, a stepdaughter, Kris (Tom) Zickuhr of Madison, WI, two sisters, Arlene (George) Golding of Waupaca, WI and Joyce Nelson of Poy Sippi, WI, three brothers, Larry (Donzella) Anderson and Jerry (Gayle) Anderson both of Waupaca, WI, and Lewis (Judy) Anderson of Fremont, WI, five grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and other family members.His funeral will be Friday June 1, 2007 at 10:30 AM at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside with the Rev. Ed Riddick officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 8 PM, and on Friday from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. A special thank you to the doctors and nurses at Mercy Medical Center. A warm heartfelt thank you to two special ladies, Linda and Jean of Caring Connections, they made his last months at home possible. They were so caring and were so appreciated. A most special thank you to the staff at Pleasant Acres, they went out of their way to make Sams last days more comfortable and dignified. Their thoughtfulness and caring for his family and friends was remarkable.
