George Wilson Crowner

George W. Crowner, 77, died Wednesday September 12, 2007 at Aurora Medical Center. He was born on July 8, 1930 in Oshkosh the son of Cecil and Ruth Schuster Crowner. On September 19, 1950 he married Faye Koeck in Oshkosh. She preceded him in death on July 24, 2007.George was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked at Paragon Products, and Rockwell Standard. He then became the owner and operator of Crowner Homes for over three decades. He founded and was the first president of the Winnebago Home Builders Association, where he initiated WHBAs two marquee events, the Home Show and the Parade of Homes. George also enjoyed hunting and fishing.Survivors include two sons Chris(Debra) Crowner, Robert Crowner, one daughter Kathleen(Ron) Rimbey, eight grandchildren Scott Rimbey, Justin Rimbey, Sean Rimbey, Mechell Smith, Angela Travis, Steven Crowner, Richard Crowner, Jonathan Crowner, three great-grandchildren Kaylyn Smith, Krystine Guethlein, Kali Travis, three sisters Dorothy Ruck, Ruth Ann Nigl, and Joyce Potter, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.He was preceded in death by his wife, and two sisters Loretta Nigl, and Mary Ellen McCarthy.A visitation will be held on Thursday September 20, 2007 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-West. Burial will take place on Friday September 21 at 10 a.m. at Riverside Cemetery where military honors will be performed.A memorial has been established.
