Gertrud E. Braun, age 90, passed away peacefully at Northpoint Medical and Rehabilitation Center in Oshkosh onMay 3, 2010. She was born November 4, 1919 at the farm home of Richard and Elsie (Schroeder) Braun, Clintonville. She was confirmed and graduated from St. Martin Lutheran School and Clintonville High School. She did housekeeping for Ralph Buckstaff for 41 years. She then was a custodian forBethlehem Lutheran Church. Gertrud was a member of the Oshkosh Bowling Association and received special recognition awards. She is also a Hall of Fame recipient from the WIBC,Oshkosh. In addition to bowling, she also loved playing cards and all board games.Gertrud had a strong faith and was a long time and faithful member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid. She is survived by her brother Ervin Braun and sister BettyKrueger, Clintonville. Also survived by two sisters-in-law, Ruth Braun and Maxine Berner, Shawano. Nephews surviving are Stephen, David, Michael and Robert Krueger, Mark, Davidand Daniel Braun and niece, Mindy Gust. Special friends surviving are Betty Paterson and Dan and Elaine Draeger of Oshkosh.She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Norman, Henry, Melvin and Lawrence and sisters, Ruth and Mildred Braun.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, May 7th, 2010 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Friends may call at the church Friday at 10 AM until the service. Burial will be atGraceland Cemetery at Clintonville. The family wishes to thank Northpoint for the wonderful care Gertrud received since making it her home in December, 2007.
