Gertrude A. Huber, age 99, of Oshkosh, died Saturday April 13, 2013 at Aurora Medical Center. She was born on March 4, 1914 in Fond du Lac a daughter of John and Minnie Priepke Streblow. On May 29, 1937 she married William Huber in Fond du Lac. He preceded her in death on December 25, 1999. She was a member of First English Lutheran Church for 76 years. She taught Sunday School, sang in the church choir, was a member of the Adult Bible study and Dorcas Circle. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, listening to music, playing the organ, playing Kings Corner and was a Domestic Diva and an awesome mother. She had worked at Deltox, Diamond Match, Miles Kimball, Oshkosh BGosh and was a receptionist for a chiropractic office for many years. She is survived by her daughters Darlene (Gerald) Peterson of Sioux Falls, S.D., Sherry Katzenberger of Oshkosh, and Barbara Huber of Oshkosh, five grandsons and their children Michael (Sheen) Katzenberger and Arcadia of Madison, Timothy (Susan) Peterson and their children Jack and Tate of Sioux Falls, S.D., Matthew(Donna) Peterson and their children Tyler and Emily of Fargo, N.D., Adam (Becky) Peterson and their children William and Lauren of Brandon S.D., and Patrick Cosgrove of Oshkosh; her three sisters, Bernice Weber, Dolores Pfeiffer and MaryLou (Robert) Fox and her brother, Robert (Joyce) Streblow. She is further survived by Stephen Katzenberger, Cheryl Spade and William and Linda Schumacher. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers Glen, John Jr., Kenneth and one sister, Marion Jodarski. Funeral services will be held on Thursday April 18, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at First English Lutheran Church with Rev. Timothy Greenwald and Rev. Martin Ruge officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the funeral. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to First English Lutheran Church. Gertrudes family would like to thank the staff at Aurora Medical Center 2nd floor for their exceptional care.
