Gladys Eva Dorsey

December 30, 1905 — November 4, 2007

Gladys E. Dorsey, age 101, died Sunday November 4, 2007 at Ripon Medical Center. She was born December 30, 1905 in Bancroft a daughter of Clarence and Edith Schenk Bender. She married Walter Dorsey on November 26, 1925 in Plainfield. He preceded her in death on September 16, 1962. She was a member of Algoma United Methodist Church. In her younger days she taught one year of elementary school, she farmed with her husband in the Neshkoro area and then moved to Oshkosh in 1947. She was a former member of AARP where she went on many trips and her specialty was making homemade pies. She is survived by one son Ivan(Pat) Dorsey, daughters Iva(Lowell) Kalmerton, Arlene Gudden, sister Eleanor(Stanley) Thompson, son-in-law Howard Bushweiler, 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Thelma Bushweiler, son-in-law Jack Gudden, 10 brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday November 7, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Eastside with Rev. Barry Yarbro officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be in Ellenwood Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staffs at both American House and Ripon Medical Center.
