Glenn V Clark

Glenn V. Clark, Oshkosh, 80, died peacefully at 4:30 a.m. on Sunday September 23, 2007 at Appleton Medical Center. He was born in Oshkosh on June 26, 1927 to Harold and Myrtle (Egger) Clark. Glenn graduated from Oshkosh High School in June of 1945 with Honors. He was a member of the Army Air Corps from 1945 to 1947 and served his country abroad including Japan. He was employed as a salesman for Dahl Ford, Oshkosh from 1947 to 1989 and Wentzel Ford, Winneconne, until retirement in 1996. Glenn was an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous for the past 21, years. He was a Mason and a member of the American Legion and a member of Calvary Lutheran Church. He was a former member of First English Church and served as an usher for many years. Glenn was an honorary member of the Ford Motor Company 300/500 Club. Glenn was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed many sports including motorcycling, snowmobiling, boating, bowling, and golf. He married Joyce S. Doemel on October 30, 1982 and is survived by his wife, Joyce, daughter, Nancy Wilson of Oshkosh, stepson Dean Krause of Omro, and grandson Kirk (Jaimie) Wilson, six great-grandchildren, all of Berlin, and a sister Audrey Mateyka, of Omro and numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother James R. Clark, and a son Larry G. Clark all of Oshkosh.Interment was held at Lake View Memorial Park in a private service on October 4, 2007 with Pastor Tim Routh of Calvary Lutheran Church officiating and military honors performed by the United Veterans Honor Guard. A memorial has been established to the Community Hospice Foundation of Appleton and Alcoholics Anonymous District 02.A special thanks to nurses Jane, Susan, and Katie, all of Appleton Medical Center and Dr. Eric Edell of Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
