Harlan Durkee

Harlan A. Durkee, age 82, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was born to the late Harold and Leona (Marden) Durkee on June 25, 1938. After graduating from Oshkosh High School, he joined the United States Army and served his country proudly. Harlan married Norma and together they had three children. They were together until her passing in 2015. Harlan enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a former Winnebago County Fair director as well as a lifetime member of Whitetails Unlimited and other fish and wildlife organizations. He had 35 years of leadership in 4-H. He also enjoyed cribbage, thrift shopping, camping, and spending time with his loved ones. He was also an avid collector of swine memorabilia.
Harlan is survived by his three children, Gary (Sherri) Durkee, Cindy Collier, and Tammy (Steven) Stark; grandchildren, Kyle (Ashley) Durkee, Steve (Kaitlyn) Stark, Carissa (Jacob) Miller, Justin (Linsey) Stark, Chad (Kate) Durkee, Cassandra (Jeffrey) Hietpas, and Nathan Stark; great grandchildren Easton Miller, Skylar Stark, Nora Hietpas, Logan Stark, Raina Durkee, Aspen Durkee, Amelia Miller, Cody Hietpas; brother, Marden Durkee. He is further survived by his sisters-in-law, Roxane (Don) Schmidt, and Kathleen (Kirk Versteegh) Sina; and brother-in-law George (Claire) Kleinschmit
In addition to his wife and parents, Harlan was preceded in death by brothers, Clifford, Howard, and Lawrence; sisters, Roberta and Belva and his son-in-law Scott Collier.

Services for Harlan will be held at the Konrad Behlman Funeral Homes-Westside (100 Lake Pointe Dr.) on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 1 PM. Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of service. Entombment will take place at Lake View Memorial Park.
