Harold Becker

Harold Becker, 93, of Oshkosh died Saturday August 21, 2010 in Lakeshore Manor. He was born July 22, 1917 in Lincoln, NE a son of the late John and Alice (Marker) Becker. Harold married Bernice Kinderman and she preceded him death on July 27, 1991. He also married Marjorie Kerrigan and she preceded him in death on Oct. 17, 1994. Harold was an auto mechanic for many years and then worked at UW-Oshkosh until his retirement. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. Harold is survived by two daughters Carol (James) Kossel of Oshkosh and Bonnie Montgomery of Oshkosh; a sister Clara Helf of Oshkosh; two grandchildren Kelli Kossel and Brittany Montgomery; and many nieces and nephews. He is further survived by step-children Carol (Bill) Hillman, Kathleen (Denny) Dillman, and Paul (Margaret) Kerrigan; step-grandchildren Ann Hillman, Brian Kerrigan, and Andy Kerrigan; and a special friend Grace Banta. He was preceded in death by two sisters Leah and Esther, and three brothers John, Ralph, and Eugene. A funeral service for Harold will be held Thursday August 26, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, Rev. Martin Ruge officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until the service. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established to Peace Lutheran Church. We will miss you dad and grandpa, but you will be in our hearts forever.
