Harry Bremer, 87, of Oshkosh, died on Saturday, August 25, 2007 in Oshkosh. He was born on October 12, 1919 in Merrillan the son of Fred and Alvina Guenther Bremer. Harry married Eutha June Owen on April 4, 1942 at Zion Lutheran Church, Oshkosh. She preceded Harry in death on August 17, 1975.Harry was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and had been a church usher for many years. Mr. Bremer was a carpenter in the Oshkosh area for many years and in 2005 he received a plaque commemorating 65 years of continuous service to the Carpenters Local Union 955.Survivors include one son, Garfield (Marcia) Bremer; three daughters, Diane (Noel) Puestohl, Bonnie Steinert, and Barbara (Brad) Wiley; seven grandchildren, James Bremer, Bryan Bremer, Amanda (Scott) McBriar, Alex Puestohl, Jennifer (Scott) Springborn, Kristin Wiley, and Ben Wiley; and four great grandchildren, Carissa Steinert, Danielle Steinert, Dylan Henning, and Collin McBrier.Harry was preceded in death by his wife; parents; brothers, Myron and Fred Bremer; and sisters, Eleanor and Gertrude Christensen.The funeral service will be on Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at 1:00 PM at Zion Lutheran Church (400 N Sawyer St.) with the Rev, Jeffrey Knoll officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 11:00 AM to the time of service. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park.A memorial to Zion Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
