Haruko Elwing

Haruko Penny Elwing, age 80 of Oshkosh died at Mercy Medical Center on Wednesday November 16, 2011. She was born on January 2, 1931 in Fuku Oku, Japan a daughter of the late Nakashima Tuna and Nakashima Kakuemon. She married James Elwing on November 22, 1960 at the U.S. Consulate in Yokohana, Japan.Penny retired from Pluswood Company after 22 years of employment. She loved to cook, gardening, and visiting with people, traveling, one of the most caring people anyone wants to know, always putting other people first, and doll collecting.She is survived by her husband James Elwing of Oshkosh and one sister, Tsugie Noon of Mount View, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Nakashima Shigeto.Private services will be held with inurnment at Lake View Memorial Park.
