She was the best mother and made each of her children feel deeply loved. Helen searched for and found salvation in Jesus Christ. She was a mirror of her Savior to all around her generously giving praise and encouragement, advice and service in many ways. Helen was active in her church ministries and was always helping others. She would often sense others pain and give hugs and words of encouragement. She always looked for the best in others. She was determined to make the best of any difficult situation.Helen loved to garden flowers, fruits, or vegetables she enjoyed watching and encouraging things to grow.Helen was an avid reader, a bright, intelligent woman. Helen played the accordion as a young lady and transferred that ability to the organ. She loved to sing hymns and listen to the Christian radio station and messages by Chuck Swindoll.Helen was an excellent cook and baker, just like her mother.
