Henry George Schmick

Henry Hank G. Schmick Jr., age 76, of Oshkosh, died Thursday August 26, 2010 at Northpoint Medical & Rehabilitation Center. He was born on March 3, 1934 in Oshkosh a son of Henry and Ila Madson Schmick Sr. On June 7, 1980 he married Janet Pease in Oshkosh.He was a veteran of the United States Navy, and had worked as a security guard at Winnebago County Health Institution. He was a member of Countryside Christian Church, enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and loved animals.He is survived by his wife Janet, his children Kenneth, Keith, Jeff(Jacquelyn), Beth(Jeff) Molitor, Jay, and Bruce. His siblings Jim(Vickie), Phyllis(Joel) Lesselyoung, Tonja Herlik, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, one step-brother Terry Slover and two grandchildren.A memorial service will be held on Sunday August 29, 2010 at 3 p.m. at Countryside Christian Church (1483 Burr Oak Lane) with Rev. Greg Decker officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Private burial will be held.In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.The family would like to thank Aurora VNA and the Doctors and Nurses at Aurora Medical Center.
