Herbert Theodore William Tellock

Herbert Theodore William Tellock, 96, of Oshkosh, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2017. Herbert was born on April 22, 1920 to the late Louis and Margaret (Kolbe) Tellock in Zittau, WI. Herbert married Evelyn Smerling on February 24, 1962, and she preceded him in death on October 31, 2014. After working 26 years at Deltox Rug, Herb worked at the Universal Foundry until his retirement in 1983. He was a member of Eureka Methodist Church for many years, where he mowed grass and made repairs in the church.Herb is survived by his children: Jeff Tellock and Kathryn (John Ron) Stephenson; a granddaughter: Jennifer (James) Vest; a niece, Marianne Steger. Herb is further survived by many very special neighbors, his church family, and other extended family members.In addition to his wife Evelyn, Herb was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Arnold (Nita Struensee), Leland, Arthur (Edith Moore); a sister: Agnes (Wilmer Pribnow).A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Eureka Methodist Church (8832 Wisconsin Street, Eureka). Leading the service will be Steve Doro. Visitation and luncheon will be held at the church on Sunday from 1:00pm until the time of service. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Oshkosh.
