Ida E. Johnson, 92 of Redgranite, WI, died Thursday March 18, 2010 at Preston Place in Redgranite, WI. She was born in the Town of Vinland on March 24, 1917 daughter of Hugo and Louise Reinhardt Grunske. On November 19, 1934 she married William Johnson. He preceded her in death on June 15, 1972.Ida had been employed by Stannard Kollsman, Miles Kimball, and Oshkosh BGosh. She also operated a dairy farm for many years.Ida is survived by six sons, Ralph, Elmer, Chad, Albert, Floyd, and Donald Johnson; 18 grandchildren, Wayne Langeberg, Becky Farling, Andrew Johnson, Kate Johnson, Harris Johnson, Mark (Michel) Covill, Ranine (Clem) Heise-Disterhalf, Cass Covill, Keith (Brittany) Covill, Hope Covill, Kenneth Johnson, Terra Johnson, Troy Johnson, Scott Johnson, Dekota Johnson, Dawn (Wayne) Austin, Laura Johnson, and Amanda Johnson; numerous great grandchildren; and friends, Terri and Ken Covill.She was preceded in death by two daughters, Gladys Langeberg and Josephine Covill; two brothers, Charlie and Roman Grunske; two daughters, Alma Schmidli and Betty Grunske; and one grandson.Her funeral will be Monday March 22, 2010 at Noon at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Eastside with Rev. Timothy W. Routh officiating. Burial will be in Brooks Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Memorial to Calvary Lutheran has been established.The family wishes to express their special thanks to the caregivers and staff of Preston Place in Redgranite.
