Jackson Clark Medley

Jackson C. Medley, 84, of Oshkosh, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at Century Oaks. He was born on October 24, 1928 in Pennsylvania the son of Harold and Lucy Hawkins Medley. Jackson married Martha Wooster on June 9, 1951 in Columbus, Ohio.Jackson received his engineering degree from Ohio State University, and his masters degree from Bradley University. He was in the R.O.T.C. throughout his collage years. He was the chief engineer at Oshkosh Truck Corp., then went to Kress Corp. in Brimfield, IL where he retired as Vice. President of Engineering. He then returned to Oshkosh Truck Corp. as a consultant. Jackson was a member of Friends of the Fox; was a private pilot and volunteer at E.A.A. for many years, and was a life member of the Society of Automotive Engineers Inc.Survivors include his wife, Martha, of Oshkosh; children, Karen (Bob) Smith of Bonaire, GA, Martin (Shari) Medley of Bradenton, FL, Gail (Randy) Ludwig of Neenah, Raymond (Janet) Medley of Mequon; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a brother, Alfred (Elizabeth) Medley of Grants Pass, Oregon.A memorial service will be held at noon on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at the First Congregational Church (137 Algoma Blvd. Oshkosh) with the Rev. Ralph and Rev. Carol DiBiasio-Snyder officiating. Family and friends may visit at the church on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to the time of service. A gathering at the church with refreshments will follow the service. Inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery.The family would like to thank the staff at Century Oaks and also Heartland Hospice for the wonderful care of Jackson.
