He was a lifelong resident of Oshkosh and graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1946. Jim served in the United States Navy from 1946 to 1948. On May 24, 1952 he married Beverly Coombs, they had 57 wonderful years together. He was employed as a Sales Representative for the Cole Tool Company for over thirty years. Jim loved the Lord and was an active member of Plymouth Congregational Church where he served as a Sunday School Teacher and Elder. He thoroughly enjoyed hunting, fishing, his cottage on the lake, feeding and watching the birds, but most importantly, spending time with his family. He is also survived by his eight beautiful grandchildren: Kelly, Brennan, Tyler, Landon, and Carson Decker, Josh (Vanessa), Abby, and Ashley TenBrink, and one beautiful great-grandchild Sophia TenBrink. He is further survived by his sister Jan Decker of Fond du Lac, his brother-in-law and business companion Howard (Nancy) Coombs, sister-in-laws Sally (Wayne) Wesner and Linda Wiese of Texas, and many cherished nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Johnny, a sister-in-law Lorraine Coombs, and a nephew Jeffrey Wesner.
