James Burton Bartelt

James B. Bartelt, 76, of Oshkosh, died on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at his home with his family at his side. Jim was born on June 18, 1934 in Oshkosh the son of Harvey and Anna Lichtfuss Bartelt. He married Nancy J. Steinbarth on August 2, 1986 at Peace Lutheran Church in Oshkosh. Jim was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. He served the Oshkosh community as a pharmacist for 53 years. Jim was a proud graduate of UW-Madison and enjoyed boating, traveling and hunting. He was a snow bird wintering in Fort Myers Beach, FL.Survivors include his wife, Nancy; son, Robert (Pam) Bartelt of Green Bay; daughter, Nancy (Pedro) Valdez of Oshkosh; step-son, Gregg Steinbarth of Washington, DC; step-daughter, Gail (Brian) Steinbarth of Fort Wayne, IN; son, Ronald Bartelt of Oshkosh and daughter, Debra (Mark) Baier of Oshkosh; brother, Donald Bartelt of Oshkosh; grandchildren, Greg Valdez, Tim (Kristi) Valdez, Carly Valdez, Brooke Bartelt, Brittany Bartelt, Nicole Baier, Kelly Baier, Gage Bartelt; step-grandson, Alexander Steinbarth; great grandchildren, Alyssa, Hailee and Aurora; and brother-in-law, Dick (Marilyn) Haberkorn of Oshkosh.He was preceded in death by his parents; brother and his wife, Gerald (Marian) Bartelt; sister and her husband, Jane (Merle) Schroeder; and sister-in-law, Carol Bartelt.The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 7:00 PM at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home (Westside) with the Rev. Nancy Krueger officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.A memorial has been established to Affinity Hospice
