James George Hoeft

James G. Hoeft, age 75 of Oshkosh died at Vallhaven Nursing Home on Friday August 5, 2011. He was born in Oshkosh on February 18, 1936, a son of the late Emil F. and Lucy Schreiber Hoeft. Jim married Lynn Seibold on February 2, 1963 in Oshkosh. Lynn preceded him in death on April 18, 2002.Jim had been employed for Old Orchard Candle Company and later at Badger Electric Company until his retirement. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a member of the Lakers club. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and watching the Packers and Brewers.Survivors include one son, Michael J. Hoeft, New York, N.Y.; one daughter, Susan L. (Scott) Smith, Oshkosh; and one sister, Marilyn Rose, Oshkosh. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Richard, Billy, Bert and Ralph Hoeft; two sisters, Carol Albrecht and Marge Schmidt.Memorial services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church (370 Bowen St.) on Tuesday August 9, 2011 at 11:30 AM with Rev. Mark Wilkens officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 10:30 to AM the time of service. Inurnment will be at Lake View Memorial Park. A memorial has been established.
