James P. Tangye

Pastor James “Jimmy” Tangye, age 59, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2022, at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh. He was born on February 20, 1963, in Oshkosh to the late James and Patricia (Price) Tangye.

"Pastor" Jim was an avid Packer fan, a free spirit who's love and caring was unconditional for all he met. He would give the shirt off of his back without question and it was a joy for him to help anyone he could. Jim's love for Jesus was undeniable and he sought the Lord with his huge heart. He was always grateful and in appreciation of what the Lord provided for him. Jimmy always greeted you with a smile that would light a large stadium. His heart of gold touched many lives without judgement but with an abundance of love! Jim will be missed by his family and friends he dearly, deeply loved. May his love and kindness remain in your hearts for many years to come!

James is survived by his sister, Pamela (William) Mitchell; nieces and nephews: Gerald Hildahl, Heidi Larios, Michele Hildahl, Matthew (Camilla) Mitchell, Samantha (Eric) Shipley, Charles “Harvey” (Denise Aguilar Huezo) Mitchell; beautiful friend, Tania Wagner; and numerous great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Patricia Tangye; stepmother, Shirley Tangye; sister, Terri Tangye; and niece, Traci Hildahl.

A memorial service for James will take place at 3:00 pm on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home, 402 Waugoo Avenue, Oshkosh, WI. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Thursday from 12:00 pm until the time of service.
