Janet Rose Schmick

Janet R. Schmick, 70, of Oshkosh died on Friday evening, March 28, 2014 at Northpoint Medical and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on April 7, 1943 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of Lester and Frances Shields Pease.As a young child she moved to Ripon, WI. She attended Loper School, a one room country school for grades 1-8. She graduated from Ripon High School and went further in her education to become a surgical technician and was employed at Mercy Medical Center for a number of years.On June 7, 1980 she was united in marriage to Henry Hank Schmick Jr. He preceded her in death on August 26, 2010.She is survived by her stepchildren, Kenneth, Keith, Jeff, Beth (Jeff) Molitar, Jay and Bruce; sister, Mary (Kenneth) Basel of Ripon; brother, Leonard (Dorene) Pease of Clinton, Iowa; aunt, Vivian Shields of Cresco, Iowa, sister-in-law, Phyllis (Joel) Lesslyoung; brother-in-law, Jim (Vicky) Schmick of Arizona; step grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother, Rowland Pease.A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home (Westside) with Rev. Robert Fictum officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to the time of service.In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established in Janets name.The family would like to thank all her caregivers from Aurora, Northpoint, and Hartland hospice.
