Janice Lee Wesenberg

Janice L. Wesenberg, of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness, July 7, 2008, in her home surrounded by her loving and devoted family.Janice was born May 27, 1925 in Oshkosh, Wl to Clarence and Ruby (Reeve) Smith. Janice graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1943. On October 21, 1944 she married Martin H. Wesenberg at the First Presbyterian Church, Oshkosh, Wl. They would have been married 64 years this fall.Janice was a life long member of the First Presbyterian Church of Oshkosh, Wl. She was a member of the Genesis Guild for many years. Her greatest pride and joy was her family.Janice is survived by her husband, Martin; three children: a daughter, Sharon (John) Engel of Oshkosh, a son, Steven (Jacquie) Wesenberg of Oshkosh, and a daughter, Debra (John) Herson of Alpharetta, GA; eight wonderful grandchildren; Scott (Missy) Engel of Oshkosh, Tricia (Roger) Nelson of Oshkosh, Jilleen (Matthew) Klug of Oshkosh, Colleen (Jason) Botterman of Oshkosh, Ainsley, Michael, Taylor, and Skyler Herson of Alpharetta, GA; five amazing great grandchildren: Lauren Nelson of Oshkosh, Brett Engel of Oshkosh, Grace and Riley Klug of Oshkosh, Sophia Botterman of Oshkosh; a sister-in-law: June Wesenberg of Oshkosh and nephews. Janice was preceded in death by her parents. A private funeral service for Janice will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, Oshkosh, Wl with the Rev. Tom Willadsen officiating. An Open House with a time of visitation and sharing support will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2008 at the First Presbyterian Church, 110 Church Ave, Oshkosh, Wl from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the First Presbyterian Church, First Presbyterian Preschool, the Oshkosh Humane Society or the charity of your choice. The family would like to especially thank Aurora Hospice, Clarity Care, and our special night staff.Go with God, mom. We love you.
