Jason L. Schroeder, 37, Oshkosh, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Monday, April 11, 2016. He was born June 25, 1978, in Oshkosh, the son of John and Michele (Gall) Schroeder. Jason graduated from Oshkosh West High School in 1996. During high school he was very active in sports, playing basketball, football, and taking a special interest in track, which he excelled in. He was a wide receiver for the football team who kicked the extra points as well. Jason had a deep passion for music and was a talented drummer himself. He loved to golf and would do anything to be out on the course as often as he could. He was also a die-hard sports fan for his favorite teams (Cubs, Bulls, and Dolphins). On September 29, 2007, Jason married Shannon Lanfersieck. Together, they built a family who meant more than the world to Jason. He lived for his children and family, and they will miss him tremendously. Jason was employed by Bemis Corporation as a press operator for the past 7 years. Jason is survived by his wife, Shannon; a son, Jordan Michael; a daughter, Calie Marie; mother, Michele Schroeder; step-mother, Betty Schroeder; father- and mother-in-law, Clarence (Deborah) Lanfersieck; grandparents: Jan Gall, Henry Schroeder, and James (Pat) Murphy; brothers and sisters: Steven (Jennifer) Schroeder, Jennifer (Ezra) Will, Matthew (Stephanie) Schroeder, Brittany (Justin) Yanke, Mary Jo and Heather Schroeder; brothers-in-law: Ryan (Kelli) and Tim (Christine) Lanfersieck; nieces and nephews: Jerred, Kalen, William, Jacob, Jackson, Elle, Trey, Ty, Connor, Guy, and Adalyn; aunts, uncles, other family members, and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his father, John; grandfather, Ron Gall; grandmothers: Shirley Schroeder and Ann Gall Fermano. A time of gathering will be held from 1:00 4:00 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2016, at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside. Anyone who knew Jason will be given an opportunity to greet the family and pay their respects. After that time, the service will begin for close friends and family members. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established for Jasons children.
