Joan Dorothy Stein

March 27, 1925 — February 21, 2012

Joan D. Stein, age 86, of Town of Black Wolf, died Tuesday February 21, 2012 at her residence. She was born on March 27, 1925 in Surrey, England a daughter of Harold and May Pilgrim Pollard. On October 21, 1961 she married Guido Stein in Oshkosh. In 1945 Joan immigrated to America from England. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, showing their Great Pyrenees dogs, knitting, riding motorcycle with her husband, gardening, and was a member of the ladies Elks Club. She is survived by her husband Guido, two daughters Sharon(John) Achterberg and Lynn(John) Rogers, five grandchildren Lisa(special friend Patrick Coughlin) Miller, Kerri(Duane) Dretske, Julie(Jim) Basler, Jenna(Curt) Stam, and Kevin(Bobbie) Rogers, 10 great-grandchildren Amber Chitel, Ryan Achterberg, Brooke Basler, Brett Basler, Breanna Basler, Connor Stam, Parker Stam, Nora Stam, Estella Rogers, and Griffin Rogers, and a cousin Ann Mallender. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter Jacualyn, one brother and one sister. Funeral services for Joan will be held on Saturday February 25, 2012 at noon at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes-Eastside. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Winneconne Cemetery. Joan is greatly loved and will be dearly missed.
