John Loren Kaspar

Dr. John Jack L. Kaspar, age 88, passed away at Mercy Medical Center on December 18, 2015. He was born to the late John and Sophia (Zwicky) Kaspar on August 6, 1927 in Oshkosh, WI. He married his first wife Barbara Geer in 1956. He married Catherine Bremigan in 1990. He earned a bachelors degree, masters degree and PhD. in biology at the University Wisconsin-Madison. He later went on to become a biology professor at the University of Wisconsin- Oshkosh for more than 30 years. He was an avid bird watcher and spider collector.He is survived by his loving wife Catherine; his first wife Barbara; two sons John (former wife, Pamela) and Michael Kaspar; grandchildren, John, Andrew, Taylor, Kara, Krista and Seth Kaspar; great-grandchildren, Faith, Alexys and Kaleeyah Kaspar. He is preceded in death by his infant brother and his daughter-in-law Cynthia.Services for Jack will be at 11AM on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at the Konrad-Behlman west location (100 Lake Pointe Drive Oshkosh, WI 54904). Rev. John Worzala-Dumke will be officiating. Visitation will be from 9AM until the time of service.Jack loved life; he lived it well and was a wonderful teacher and friend to all. He will be very much missed.In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
