Joseph Carl Langkau

Joseph C. Langkau, 71, of Oshkosh, died Friday July 6, 2012, at Century Oaks. He was born January 31, 1941, in Oshkosh, a son of the late Leo F. and Mary (Jakubiak) Langkau. Joe married Judith R. Sowls on Sept. 8, 1962, in St. Mary Catholic Church, Oshkosh. Joe attended Oshkosh High School and was a car salesman for many years in Oshkosh. He enjoyed golfing and bowling. His survivors include his wife, Judith R. Langkau of Oshkosh; a daughter, Laura L. (Dale) Simpson of Omro; sons, Michael J. (Anne) Langkau of Oshkosh, Joseph C. (Paula) Langkau of Groveton, NH, and Wesley J. (Patti) Langkau of Oshkosh; sisters, Barbara Olejnik of Oshkosh and Mary Ann Figel of Brownsville, WI; a brother, Leo R. Langkau (Carol Stewart) of Oshkosh; and grandchildren, Keegan (Abby) Langkau, Piper Langkau, Taylor Jo Langkau, Mallory Langkau, Erica Langkau, Zachary Simpson, and Jacob Simpson. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Patrick Carl Langkau; sisters, Ruth Mitchell and Kathleen Langkau; and brothers, William, Richard, and Leonard Langkau. A memorial service for Joseph will be held Thursday July 12, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Raphael Catholic Church, Rev. Doug LeCaptain officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the service. Entombment will be in Lake View Memorial Park. A memorial is being established to the Leukemia Society of America-Wisconsin Chapter (1126 S. 70th St., Suite N405A, Milwaukee, WI 53214).
