Joseph Hartman Jr.

Joseph Hartman Jr. 80, of Oshkosh, died Sat. May 3, 2008. He was born Jan. 9, 1928 in Milwaukee a son of Joseph and Hattie Kanter Hartman. On Feb. 5, 1949 he married Mary Lubovich in Philadelphia. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps. For 38 years he was a member at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in West Allis and also a member of Calvary Lutheran in Oshkosh. He enjoyed woodworking, traveling, and his grandchildren. He was a member of the West Allis Athletic Club for 25 years, and the American Legion. He was past president of the Telephone Pioneers. He was very involved in scouting with his 3 sons and also at church.. He is survived by his wife Mary, his children Dr. Joseph(Victoria) Hartman, Peter(Mary) Hartman, Nancy(Chris) Rhyner, Daniel Hartman, three grandchildren Alicia, Stephanie, Sarah, two brothers Richard(Jackie) Hartman, Robert(Mary) Hartman, one brother-in-law Norman Henricks. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters Hazel Henricks, Ethel Lyons, June Fallon. Funeral services will be held on Mon. May 12, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. at Wisconsin Memorial Park-Chapel of the Chimes in Brookfield with Rev. Tim Routh officiating. Visitation will be held on Mon. at Wisconsin Memorial Park from 12:30 until the time of the service. Entombment will be at Wisconsin Memorial Park. A memorial has been established to Progressive Supranuclear Palsy or Calvary Lutheran Church.
