Karen E. Spiering

Karen E. Spiering, 67 of Oshkosh, died Thursday August 26, 2010 at her home. She was born in Fond du Lac, WI on June 10, 1943 daughter of Russell and Rosemary Dunn O'Connor. On March 30, 1963 she married Howard Spiering in N. Fond du Lac.Karen was employed by Oshkosh (Truck) Corp. for thirty years. She was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Parish. Karen played softball for Pinky's and Harrison Bars. She had also taught guitar lessons when she was younger.Karen is survived by her husband, Howard Spiering of Oshkosh; her mother, Rosemary O'Connor of Fond du Lac; daughter, Colleen Spiering of Oshkosh; sons, Dennis Spiering of Fond du Lac, WI and Mike Spiering of Lafayette, TN; sisters, Candis (Roger) Pederson of Campbellsport, WI, Suellen (Edward) Jackson of South Carolina, Eloise (Ken) Bairl of Fond du Lac, Kathleen (Jeffrey) Pauly of Saukville, WI, Carole (Dick) Henke of Fond du Lac; brothers, Daniel (Song) O'Connor of Texas, and John (Lorrie) O'Connor of Ludington, MI; seven grandchildren, JoAnne Jenner of Neenah, Jeremy Bundy of Appleton, Amanda Bundy of Neenah, Christopher Bundy of Appleton, Elizabeth Spiering of Oshkosh, Michael Smith of Oshkosh, and Kole Spiering of Fond du Lac; and two great grandchildren, Justyce Hasenorhl, and Antoine Jackson both of Neenah. She was preceded in death by her father Russell O'Connor, and by her daughter, Deborah Bundy.A mass of Christian Burial will be Monday August 30, 2010 at 11:00 AM at St. Jude the Apostle Parish - St. Vincent Church with Fr. William Van DeKreeke officiating. Burial will be in Scheller Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the church on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass. A memorial to the Salvation Army has been established.
