Keith John Carpenter

March 15, 1953 — November 11, 2012

Keith John Carpenter, age 59 of Oshkosh, died at his home on November 11, 2012. Keith was born in Herkimer, New York on March 15, 1953, a son of the late John and Florence (Raymond) Carpenter. Keith had been employed at Winnebago Mental Health Institute. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed hunting, watching the Brewers and the Packers, and was a member of the mens group at church.Keiths biggest accomplishments and most loved part of his life were his three children: Kali, Kip, and Kassi. As years went by seven beloved grandchildren were given to him: Makayla, Noel, Kaitlyn, Mason, Kiersten, Taylor, and Evan. There was nothing more important in Keiths life than his family. His free time was always dedicated to his children and grandchildren, and he would do anything for anybody. Keith was also a dedicated servant to the Lord, and sought nothing more in his later years than to be a better Christian. He believed everyone should know God.Survivors include his son Kip (Amanda) Carpenter, of Oshkosh; two daughters, Kali (Eric) Dietschweiler and Kassi (Wesley) Newell, both of Oshkosh; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Kevin (Linda) Carpenter of Port St. Lucie, FL and Kurt Carpenter of Green Bay; four sisters, Kathy (Alan) Rebane of British Columbia, Canada; Kim (Larry) Faust of Whittier, N.C; Kelly Carpenter of Portland, ME and Kristen (Dale) Eiden of Oshkosh.Though we are saddened beyond words at his passing, we know our father is at the home he was meant to end at, Heaven. We know that he will continue to watch over us and we can be comforted in that.Funeral services will be held at Community Church (2351 Ryf Road, Oshkosh) on Friday, November 16, 2012 at 5:00 pm with Rev. Alan Cleveland officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Friday from 3:00 pm to the time of service. Military honors will follow the service at church. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
