Kenneth J Geffers

July 5, 1933 — December 21, 2018

Kenneth J. Geffers passed on to his eternal reward on Friday, December 21, 2018 at the age of 85.
He was born to Herbert and Anita Geffers. After graduation from high school, Ken enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, having served with the Strategic Air Command in Alaska, England, and Reno, Nevada during the Korean War. Upon his return to civilian life, Ken met and married Patricia Drexler.
After graduation from college, Ken taught seventh grade English and Math with a side on the finer points of hunting and fishing, in the Omro Public School District where he proudly retired. His passions were God, family and hunting; Hunting, first with his father and brothers, then with his sons and grandchildren, passing on to them his many skills. Ken loved to share those memories many times over with family and friends; a memory treasured by everyone! Ken was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, Oshkosh.
Ken is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Pat, and their children: Bonnie (David) Dahlke, Lisa (Carl) Londowski, Gregory Geffers, Karen (John) Wallace, Matthew (Mary), Brad (Linda), John (Beth), Paul (Jenni) and Peter (Amy) Geffers; 28 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Richard (Gerri), Herb, Dave (Nanci), Don (Sue), Gerard Geffers, Marlene Dreyer, Jean (Joe) Seager, Mary (Dave) Kind, Franny (Fred) Krueger, and Joyce (Mike) Cowen; brothers- and sisters-in-law: Dave (Sandy) Drexler, Mary (Steve) Salzieder, Terry Drexler, and Mark (Bonnie) Drexler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Mike, sisters in law, Fran Geffers and Jan Drexler, brothers in law, Russ Dreyer and Steve Drexler, and granddaughter Amy Hamm.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2018 at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Drive, Oshkosh, and again at St. Peter Catholic Church, 435 High Avenue, Thursday, January 3, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will follow. Inurnment will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Oshkosh. In lieu of flowers, donations will be sent to Ken’s favorite charities.
The family extends warm thanks to Dr. Ken and the staff at Park View Health Center, Prairieside North and Woodside North, for the genuine care and compassion you gave to Ken. Your care was amazing!
