Kenneth John Ziebert

Kenneth John Ziebert of Omro passed away on October 20, 2015 at the age of 58 after fighting a long, courageous battle with Huntingtons Disease. 2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.Ken was born in Sheboygan, WI on December 20, 1956 and was the son of Theodore Junior and Eunice Manthey Ziebert Zwicky. Ken graduated from Fond du Lac Goodrich High School in 1976. He then joined the Navy and proudly served his country for four years. His assignment was an Instrumentation Calibrator and enjoyed his Mediterranean tour. In 1983 he earned an Associate of Science Degree from Moraine Park Technical School as an Electro-Mechanical Technician. He was married to Sharon Raimann Ziebert for 32 years.He worked for General Electric Healthcare Systems for 19 years as an Electronic Technician. He was a member of the Omro Lions, the Butte des Morts Conservation Club and 1st English Lutheran Church. He took pleasure in his theological discussions with our minister. Ken enjoyed building computers, electronics and going camping. Ken and his coffee were never far apart.Survivors include his wife Sharon and children Lori Ziebert of Madison, Jaclyn Ziebert of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Nicholas Ziebert of Colorado Springs, Colorado, stepsons David (Lynda) Gruen of Aldi, Virginia and Robert (Sarah) Gruen of Milwaukee. He also has two step-grandchildren. His siblings include Katherine (Jon) Westphal of Port Washington, Karl (Sue) Ziebert of Fond du Lac, Elaine (Kevin) Burke of Madison, Ann (Stephen) Schneider of Fond du Lac, and Paul (Debra) Ziebert of Campbellsport. He also has many nieces and nephews.His parents and his brother Tod preceded him in death.Services will be held at 1st English Lutheran Church, 1013 Minnesota St., Oshkosh on Friday, October 23. Visitation will be from 10 11 am, followed by a service. Our thanks goes out to TLC Homes-Quail Court and Heartland Hospice for making Ken comfortable and at peace.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Huntingtons Disease of Wisconsin, 2041 N 107th St. Milwaukee, WI 53226 to be used for individuals interested in getting tested.
