Kenneth Kettlewell

Kenneth Kettlewell, age 88, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center. He was born on December 3, 1926 the son of the late Rumsey and Clara (Kraft) Kettlewell. He married the love of his life Wanda Schmidt on June 11, 1958 in Iowa. Kenneth graduated high school and went on to be a security guard at the Winnebago State Hospital. He honorably served his country in WWII in the U. S. Army.He loved hunting and fishing. Was in the American Legion in Berlin and volunteered at the Pickett Community Center for many years.Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Wanda; daughter, Juanita Kettlewell; sons Earl (Lori) Kettlewell and Michael Hillhouse; grandchildren, Andrew and Lauren DiSanza, Stephanie (Jeff) Revels, Chrissy Nelson, and Angela (David) Dodd; great grandchildren Tatum Revels, Ashlee and David Joseph Dodd, II; brothers Richard, Wayne (Mary), Robert (Diane), and John Kettlewell. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents; son, LeRoy Kettlewell on May 2, 2015; sister, Beverly; and brothers, Jim and Tom. A funeral service will be held for Ken at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes-(Westside) with Rev. Jud Krohn officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.
