Kenneth Mack

Kenneth (Ken) Mack of Oshkosh died peacefully at Aurora Medical Center on Thursday, September 09, 2010. He was born in Milwaukee on December 24, 1921, the son of Emil and Meta Mack. In 1956 he married Phyllis Kemp and moved to Oshkosh. He was a graduate of Milwaukees Boys Tech and proudly served in the U.S. Army from December 1942 to October 1945. He was a member of the 94th Infantry of Company A Armored Engineer Battalion. He and his wife were owners of Whitehall Kitchen Center and Mack Construction for many years. Ken loved to fish and hunt and greatly enjoyed golf and bowling. His love for nature was always a great part of his life.He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, his parents, a brother, William (Bill) Mack, brother-in-law, Roger Turban, a niece, Sandy Weckwerth and many friends. He is survived by his daughter, Laurie (James) Larson of Oshkosh; son, Ronald (Cindy Jordan) Mack of Oshkosh; his grandchildren Stephanie (Paul) Hallman of Oshkosh, Amanda (Matthew) Carey of Oshkosh, Kristopher (Sarrah) Larson of Oshkosh, Jenna (Robert) Larson-Poeschl of Oshkosh, Nathan (Wendy) Larson of Oshkosh; great-grandchildren, Jacob Becker, Jedediah Larson-Poeschl, Benjamin Carey, Kallum Larson-Poeschl, Amelia Carey and Madrona Larson-Poeschl. He is also survived by his loving sister, Louise Turban, sister-in-law, Hazel Mack, nieces, nephews and friends.Funeral services will be held at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home - Westside at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 13, 2010 with Fr. Jason Blahnik officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to the service time. Private burial will be at Riverside Cemetery. A memorial in Kens name is being established at the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation for the Veterans Museum.
