Kenneth R. Steinhilber, age 99 of Oshkosh, passed away at Gabriel’s Villa on Monday, November 21, 2022 with his daughter by his side. Kenneth was born on July 9, 1923 in Oshkosh to the late Edward and Gertrude (Lewellyn) Steinhilber.
Kenneth served during WWII in the fifth Radio Security Section of the 136th Radio Security Detachment of the Army Air Corps. His service included a deployment to North Africa and Italy. He later served in the Army Reserves.
Kenneth married Frances Fahrman on September 11, 1971 and spent many wonderful years together until her passing in 2017. Kenneth worked as an accountant throughout his life. He retired from the Winnebago Mental Health Institute in July of 1985. Kenneth was a faithful member of Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church.
Kenneth is lovingly survived by his daughter, Cathy (Gerald Johnson) Nimmer; grandchildren: Reid (Brenda) Nimmer and Calen Nimmer; great-grandchildren: Amelia and Claire Nimmer; many wonderful nieces and nephews: George Sheuermann, Pam (Mark) Calliari, Peg (Jack) Stuyvenberg, Bill (Meredith) Scheuermann, Jean (Gordon) Faust, Barb (Brad) Williams, Bill (Susan) Steinhilber, David Coates.
In addition to his parents and wife, Kenneth was preceded in death by his siblings: Donald (Elaine), Clarence (Ruth), Edith (Edward) Weimer and Beverly (Nyal) Scheuermann.
A graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery at a later date.

You made my days so happy and glad to still exist. You always were so upbeat and so full of love and caring. Let’s all meet again.
