Kim Ellen Kucksdorf

July 28, 1956 — May 20, 2011

Kim E. Kucksdorf, 54, Oshkosh, took the Lords hand and went home on Friday, May 20, 2011. She was born July 28, 1956 to Howard and Nancy (Christensen) Coombs. On July 30, 1977, she married the love of her life, James Kucksdorf. She was very involved in her church, Most Blessed Sacrament- St. Peters Catholic Church where she was active as the adult choir director, hand bell choir director and as a cantor. Kim graduated from Marian University with her Masters degree in curriculum and instruction. She has touched many through her love of music, performing and teaching. Kim worked as a choir teacher for the Oshkosh Area School District for the past 19 years; most recently at Webster Stanley Middle School. She enjoyed collecting dolls, was part of a doll club, and was the administrator for an online doll board. Spending time with her grandchildren was time she cherished; she never missed one of their events. Kim also enjoyed time at their cottage, spending time with family and friends, and scavenging flea markets and rummage sales for treasures with her dad.Kim is survived by her husband, James, Oshkosh; her daughters, Jennifer (Daniel) Frank, Oshkosh; Lindsay (Matthew) Anacker, Menomonee Falls; her grandchildren, Noelle, Logan and Braydan Frank; her parents, Howard and Nancy Coombs; her sister, Joby (Mike) Wolfgram; her brother Rick (Lauri) Coombs, all of Oshkosh. She was also survived by many cousins, great aunts and uncles, nephews and a niece.She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Orville and Jeanette Christensen; paternal grandparents, Wilbur and Rose Coombs; cousin, Jeff Wesner; and uncle, Jim Decker.A celebration of Kims life will take place at Countryside Christian Church (1483 Burr Oak Road, Oshkosh) with Pastor Greg Decker presiding on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 7:00 PM. Visitation will take place at Countryside Church on Wednesday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Thursday, May 26 a funeral mass will take place at Most Blessed Sacrament - St. Peters Catholic Church (435 High Ave) at 10:00 AM with Father James Jugenheimer officiating. Visitation will tack place at St. Peters Church on Thursday from 9:00 t0 10:00 AM. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery at a later date.The family would like to extend a special thank you to Affinity Visiting Nurses-Hospice. You went above and beyond for us and we truly appreciate it. We would also like to thank everyone that came and sat with Kim during her final time here with us. We couldnt have done this without your help. You have shown us through your dedication to Kim how much she is loved. We appreciate all the support given to us; the hugs, meals, phone calls, cards, gifts. You all hold a special place in our hearts.In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to benefit Webster Stanley Middle School auditorium. Kim dedicated many hours presenting musicals and concerts in the auditorium and has often spoken of her desire to see improvements be made so future generations can enjoy many more performances in the auditorium.See, God has come to save me.
