Kim Marie Schmidt

Kim Marie Schmidt, 43, of Oshkosh, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2009. Kim was born on May 6, 1966 in Sussex a daughter of the late Wilbur and Anita (Grant) Heling. On May 25, 1991 she married David Schmidt in Oshkosh.Kim was a proud mother and a friend to everyone she met. She had worked at the Delta Restaurant for over 20 years where she was so well known they jokingly called it Kim's Place. Kim was a "Baseball Mom" being a fixture in the stands for all her boys' games, she helped with the food drive for Whitetails Unlimited, and she was the ultimate party planner and was always the life of the party. Kim lived for her children, her family and her friends and loved her dogs, Jasper, Sam and Bailey.Survivors include her husband, David; her sons, Michael and Patrick all of Oshkosh; her brothers and sisters, Rick Schroeder, Mike (Joan) Schroeder, Nancy (Joan) Albright, Tim (Letty) Heling, Keri Heling; a mother-in-law, Marilyn Schmidt; sisters-in-law, Lynn (Lee) Bartlett, Catherine (Allen) Leduc, Karen Schmidt; and a special aunt, Chris Smith; Kim was a special Aunt to Jessica, Meagan, Taylor, Chris, Katie, Buddy, Olivia, Maya, Will, Brian, Kevin, Brad, Melissa, Tracy, Ben, and Aaron. She is further survived by her special friends, Tammy (Lee) Coffen, Michelle (Mark) Hanson, Debbie Cavanaugh, and Jennifer (Joe) Schunk. Kim was preceded in death by her parents, her father-in-law, Fred Schmidt and a brother, Pat Schroeder.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2009 at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church (830 S. Westhaven Drive - Oshkosh) at 1:00 p.m. with Father Doug LeCaptain officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to the Mass. Interment will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.Kim shared so much love that she made the world a better place. She was always there to help anybody who needed it and her memory will live on forever.In Kim's memory please come in shorts or as you are "why wouldn't cha".
