Larry J. Warren, 57, of Oshkosh, died November 8, 2005 at Bethel Home with his family by his side after a two year battle with ALS. He was born September 15, 1948 in Ripon, a son of Gerald and Luella (Stollfuss) Warren. Larry married Kathleen Diliberti on January 10, 1992 in Waupaca.Larry served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War from 1969- 1971. He received the national defense service medal, good conduct medal, Vietnam service medal, Army commendation medal, Vietnam campaign medal, two overseas bars, and expert marksmanship medal. He worked as Postmaster in Fremont for 22 years until his retirement in 2003. He sang with the White Heron Chorale from Lawrence University, he volunteered at the Clothes Closet in Appleton, as a tax consultant at AARP, and for Habitat for Humanity. He was a member of the American Legion in Fremont. He was also a master locksmith and master gardener.Larry is survived by his wife, Kathleen, a son, Joshua of Oshkosh, step son, Keith Prust of Fort Lauderdale, FL, his mother, Luella (Bill) Brownlea of Oshkosh, step mother, Lurea Warren of Waupun two brothers, Keith (Katie) Warren of Green Lake, and Spencer (Valli) Warren of Stoughton, a sister, Tamara (Terry) Liptow of Ripon; three nieces, Tracy, Pam, and April, nephew, Spencer Lee, and a special great niece, Hailey. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald, and a niece, Brenda Liptow.Funeral service for Larry will be held on Friday November 11, 2005 at 11:00 am at the Calvary Chapel (2136 E Newberry St. Appleton) with Pastor Steve Shepard officiating. Family and friends may call tonight at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside from 4:00-8:00 pm and again tomorrow at the church from 10:00 am until the hour of service. Burial will be at Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King, WI. with full military honors- you will be deeply missed by all of us because you were deeply loved by all of us.
