Lenora Florence Malone

Lenora F. Malone, 84 of Oshkosh, died at her home on Sunday, January 1, 2006 with her daughter at her side. Lenora was born in Mellen, WI on January 31, 1921, a daughter of Marvin and Ruth Howe Wing, and was raised in Rhinelander. She married Gordon E. Malone on February 12, 1937 in Rhinelander. Gordon preceded her in death on April 5, 1993. Lenora was a member of Fox Valley Seventh Day Adventist in Neenah. She held all the offices except Pastor and Elder. Lenora also taught Sabbath School, and enjoyed doing needlepoint. Survivors include one daughter, Patsy Malone, Oshkosh; one son-in-law Gary Freiberg, Oshkosh; two brothers, Claude (Eleanor) Wing, Oshkosh; Art Wing, Davie, FL; two sisters-in-law, Virginia Wing, Oshkosh; Lynn Wing, Lyons, IL. Preceding her in death was one daughter, Paula Freiberg, three brothers, Lionel, Del, and Don Wing; and five sisters, Viola Taylor, Violet Darr Theriault, Gertrude Wing, Marvela Blechl, and Luella Stieg Miller. A private graveside service at Ellenwood Cemetery will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established. But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
