Leonard C. Bruce passed away on November 21, 2016 at the Kings Veterans Home, he was 98. He was born on July 15, 1918 in Rensselaer, New York to the late Charles and Dorothy (Hild) Bruce.Leonard was a WWII veteran with the Army Air Corps and served as a radioman on B29 bombers. He attained the rank of SSGT. He met his wife Erna (Felker) during flight training in Oshkosh and they were married on September 30, 1944 in Sioux Falls, SD. He was employed at the Paine Lumber Co., Morgan Doors and Pluswood Ind. before his retirement and the Oshkosh YMCA after his retirement. He was an avid hunter, trapper and fisherman.Leonard is survived by his son, Gary (Darlene) Bruce, Neenah; grandsons, Eric and Craig Bruce, both of Oshkosh and daughter, Cynthia Bruce, Oshkosh.A private service will be held at St. Andrews Lutheran Church with entombment at Lake View Memorial Park.The family wishes to thank the staff of Kings Veterans Home and the people of ThedaCare Hospice for their kind help and care.
